What is the best way to start planning a home security system?
You always need door and window sensors, an alarm and a central control panel. Beyond that, you have options. Go through the premises and count the number of doors and windows. Include the door leading to the garage and windows high off the ground. This will give you the number of sensors you need.
You may also need smoke and carbon monoxide detectors if you don’t already have them. You need one near the kitchen, at least one on each floor of your premises.
Should I test my security system?
Yes, test your security system weekly. if you notice any unusual behaviour with your system, or if it is simply not working, contact us here & specify your problem in the message section and we will get back to you.
Will my alarm system still work if the power goes off?
Yes, every alarm system is supplied with a back-up battery which will maintain your alarm for several hours.
How often must the batteries be changed?
Typically, alkaline batteries must be changed every year. Newer systems often use lithium batteries that should last 5 years or more.
Do you install nationwide?
Yes, we do. We are based in the leinster region, however arrangements for futher provinces can be made.
How long, generally does an install take?
The length of time it takes to install an alarm or security system depends firstly on the type of alarm system being installed and the size of the premises where the system is being installed. Generally all systems can take only a day to install.
